Mr. Edward S. Gaamuwa

DIRECTOR/SENIOR CONSULTANT

Edward is a Management Consultant and Director of ACLAIM Africa. He has wide experience covering NGO management, micro-finance, governance, human resource, organisation development, organisation leadership, corporate culture development, facilitation and training, among others. He has provided support to the development of the Leadership Code in the Parliament of Uganda, facilitated culture change at the Uganda Development Bank, provided technical support to a number of organisations including the DFID Civil Society Umbrella Programme, Nile Basin Initiative, World Agro-forestry Centre (ICRAF), Government Ministries, NGOs, Tea Companies funded by the European Union, among many others.

Edward was instrumental in designing and starting an in-house graduate programme in Theology and Development through the Oxford Centre for Mission Studies and validated by the University of Leads. Under the programme World Vision staff would be facilitated to earn their Masters degree while continuing with their normal duties. The course was taught locally but supervised by the Oxford Centre for Mission Studies. This was done during his tenure as Chairman of the East African Regional Ministry Capacity Building Action Team (MCBAT) of World Vision International while he worked as HR Director in the Uganda office where he was for thirteen years. MCBAT had the task to build institutional and human resource capacity of the World Vision International offices in the Sub Region.

His work experience includes ACLAIM Africa, where he consults in HR and OD; World Vision International (Uganda) where he was the Human Resource Director, Uganda Dairy Corporation where he worked as a Personnel Officer.

Edward is a visionary who has co-founded the company he now works for, ACLAIM Africa, for which he was the founding Chairman. He also co-founded UGAFODE and was its first Vice Chairman. He further co-founded the Kampala Evangelical School of Theology. He has contributed to many initiatives and through his consultancy work, to many organisations.
